The Artist

After always feeling a connection with animals of all varieties, Tammy's interest has taken a new form in more recent years. Now she is able to incorporate this bond through her realistically detailed animal portraits. She works predominately in classic charcoal, although an acrylic, pastel or coloured pencil work is usually in progress on her easel to brighten up the room with its colour.

Tammy's artistic career started in 2022 with a collection of Christmas wildlife paintings. In January 2023, she started her business formally and has had her drawing board and easel filled with commission pieces ever since.

Developing her skills and expressing her love for all things 'animal' has given Tammy a new purpose in life after being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and FND. As her abilities grow, expect that her artwork will start to express a growing depth of emotion, as she uses animals and their emotional states to portray a deepening awareness of our own personalities and existences.

Tammy at Mclntosh Wildlife Art and Equine has done the most amazing job on the keepsake painting of my 36-year mare. Words can not describe the amazing happy emotions this painting has brought to me. Thank you so much.

Tammy I can not thank you enough for your care and investment in not only the physical drawing, but the whole story of this very special horse and his beautiful rider. You were just as touched by his story and were able to finish in record time so that he would be ready to present to his family. Your communication and updates every step of the way were outstanding. You’ve captured a moment that they are now able to treasure for a lifetime and every essence of your work is indeed ‘Red’. You know how amazing we think you are

They are better than expected. They look so real. It's amazing.
